25 Years Rebuilding Ruins

This weekend my parents' ministry Abounding Grace celebrates its 25th anniversary as a holistic New York City outreach and 15 years as a church. For me, the most surreal thing about those numbers is that I was there when AGM started as a integral -- if very inexperienced -- member of the team. At 33, I feel too young to be commemorating 25 years in ministry -- how much more so my brothers who were three and six at the time -- but on reflection it's true. Thanks, mom and dad, for making your sons feel like we had something to contribute then, and still. Here's the 411 on the festivities, which begin tomorrow night.
