    Thursday Thirteen

    By Jeremy | December 13, 2007

Because Katy revived her Thursday Thirteen posts last week after a months-long absence, here are thirteen reasons why I'm excited for Christmas. 1. I got invited to Jesus' birthday party. Christmas 2004 - DVD Cool2. Judah, Seth, Simon, Mia, Willie, Amber, and Bethany (my son and his cousins, three of whom were born this year!) 3. Traditions are soothing. 4. Vacations are soothing. 5. Holiday cooking is therapy. 6. The Dyker Heights Christmas lights. 7. Reruns: an excuse to watch It's a Wonderful Life, Christmas Story, and my new favorite Christmas movie, Elf. 8. I get to read Judah Henry Van Dyke's "Other Wise Man" again. 9. Cheesy classic clay-mation Christmas cartoons. 10. Angel Tree. 11. Opportunities to be generous. 12. People are nicer. 13. Judah's Christmas play tonight.
