    We received a first miracle

    By Jeremy | October 3, 2005

The Mustard Seed Foundation stepped up to help fill our short-term cash flow issues by accelerating the final payment on their three-year grant to Generation Xcel last week. We received the check this morning, which gives us 6-8 weeks to breathe before the next miracle. Thank you, Brian, both for the check and the encouragement!
“I am sending this payment to you now after reading your letter … as I want to encourage you and your excellent ministry. You are so deeply loved and have impacted so many people, more than you can ever know. I pray that the Lord blesses you with deep wisdom and grace during this season.”
Word to wise, urban ministers working in one of MSF’s targeted cities: apply to MSF for assistance. They are great people investing in great work in cities around the world. For perspective on their granting priorities, check out Dr. Ray Bakke’s book, A Theology as Big as the City, which I reviewed last November. Ray’s brother Dennis Bakke is the gazillionaire philanthropist behind MSF.
