    President Bush defied the prognosticators again with another surprise Supreme Court nominee this morning, White House Counsel Harriet Miers. On the heels of the John Roberts (whose freshman term as Chief Justice begins today) confirmation, it’ll be fun to watch how Miers’ nomination unfolds. UPDATE: Miers’ pros and cons. Via Rudy.
