If we overcome accusers by the word of our testimony

    By Jeremy | December 7, 2007

Why is televangelist Creflo Dollar refusing to testify to the Senate's finance committee about spending irregularities? Below is an interesting contrast. Revelation 12:10-11:
"Now have come the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God, and the authority of his Christ. For the accuser of our brothers, who accuses them before our God day and night, has been hurled down. They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death."
    Rev. Dollar:
"Last month, the committee's ranking Republican, Sen. Charles Grassley, asked Dollar and five other TV and megachurch preachers to provide him detailed reports on how they're spending billions of dollars in church donations. He wants to make sure their ministries aren't violating their tax-exempt status by spending church donations on personal luxuries. "Five of the six ministries have either turned over documents or asked Grassley for more time, which the senator readily agreed to give them. "But Dollar and his World Changers Church have refused, and he's hired a lawyer. He said if Grassley wants more information he'll have to subpoena him to testify before the committee."

Sen. Charles Grassley is a republican in name only like Mike Bloomberg and Arlen Spector. Rather than go after the ACLU who actually printed up flyers urging voters not to vote for Joe Lieberman, which is a violation of the law and would remove their tax exmept status, they waste our time going after CHristian Ministers; That being said the ministers should open up their books if they have nothing to hide.
WHen someone changes their name to Dollar and is in the ministry (televangelism) being one of them it never smells good.
Benny Hinn, claims he healed the hole in Evander Holyfields heart, perhaps Holyfield was healed, but. . . . then again, during the whole laughing like a chicken and clucking like a dog movement down in Florida I was told by someone they saw gold dust coming out of peoples mouths and legs regrowing (but the source was dubious – mental health and drinking problems) but anyway I digress.

Open up the books my brothers and be transparent.

Just my personal opinion,…I think the multiple houses, jets, rides, and lavish lifestyles are open books in themselves. In what way do all these personal or church owned possessions accomplish its “exempt purposes” ? Keep us posted on developments…

I don’t begrudge a person having “toys” and other nice things, but when it does get excessive it doesn’t seem right.
