    Say it ain’t Joe

    By Jeremy | October 9, 2007

Notwithstanding the Boss's bluster on Sunday, here's to hoping (against hope) the Yankees don't scapegoat Torre. He doesn't hit or pitch or play defense. More appropriate blame rests with: + Captain Jeter's failed clutch. + An ace who failed to play his cards right. + Beelzebub (the "Lord of the Flies"), who sicked his flies on Joba at the Mistake by the Lake. + The collective impotence of the Yankee offense. A pox on all Clevelanders named Rafael, Byrd, Sabathia, and Carmona! Who'd a thunk that so many pitchers this side of Detroit could so thoroughly stifle the vaunted Bomber bats? (PLEASE DOn't ANSWER THAT!)

There’s no better player’s manager than Charlie Manuel and they say Mariano Rivera looks pretty good in red.
