    Learning from the Amish

    By Jeremy | October 10, 2006

What the Amish response to the recent Lancaster school shooting can teach us about: + forgiveness + self-sacrifice + youth ministry (how have they withstood the pressures of modern life for centuries?) + tradition Contrast + Evangelicals fear the loss of their youth (NY Times, 10/06/06) -- "Despite their packed megachurches, their political clout and their increasing visibility on the national stage, evangelical Christian leaders are warning one another that their teenagers are abandoning the faith in droves." While I agree that Evangelicals long ago lost the culture war, and hence their kids, is Luce's prescription enough? In other news + Google buys YouTube for $1.65 BILLION! + Social Networking fuels web boom.
