    Is He your cornerstone/capstone/keystone?

    By Jeremy | September 1, 2006

Brian Meza rocked last night. My left coast friend from Living Hope Community Church in San Fernando preached at Abounding Grace from Ephesians 2:19-21:
"Consequently, you are no longer foreigners and aliens, but fellow citizens with God's people and members of God's household, built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the chief cornerstone. In him the whole building is joined together and rises to become a holy temple in the Lord."
He unpacked the Greek word for cornerstone, which can literally be translated as cornerstone (first stone that anchors the entire foundation), capstone (the final stone), and keystone (center stone in an arch, on which the weight of the entire arch rests). Check the links for more nuanced definitions. Are you building your life on the one who never fails?
