    Prayer Alert – February 2007

    By Jeremy | February 22, 2007

Friends and Intercessors: It's been a while since the last official Prayer Alert from me, but I did want to share some recent ministry and personal requests. Blogging. The audience for my weblog, "Away with Words" at www.JeremyDelRio.com, continues to grow, with fresh content added almost every day. New regular features include: + Monday Morning MP3 - podcast; + Wednesday's Weekly Webcast - videocast; and + Friday's Foto Finish. Subscribe for email updates from the blog here. Pray that content continues to be fresh and the resources helpful. Speaking. God has opened some incredible opportunities for me to preach in the past six months, including four UYWI/Reload cities, college campuses, pastor and leader gatherings, and a number of churches. Next week I will be keynoting the Willowcreek Association's Shift Student Ministries conference in Chicago, where they expect 3,000-4,000 youth ministers to gather from around the country. Please pray both for doors to continue to open and anointing and grace when they do. Writing. In addition to regular contributions to the Tri-State Voice, Christian Post, and elsewhere, two of my most recent writing opportunities include the March 2007 issue of Charisma magazine, which features "The Myspace Cry," and two chapters in the upcoming Deep Justice in a Broken World, which Zondervan will publish in January 2008. Pray that the written words would inspire vibrant faith. Consulting. Ongoing projects with World Vision and Living Hope Community Church, plus a number of pending contracts, insure that "By Youth For Youth" approaches to youth ministry are expanding beyond lower Manhattan throughout the country. Pray for wisdom to service our clients' needs in a way that expands the Kingdom on earth as it is in heaven. Generation Xcel. It has been a joy to watch Generation Xcel continue to impact the Lower East Side, even as my role there has diminished. Kristina Diaz, Jannie Wolff, Pastor Arlene Del Rio, and a team of volunteers provide love, support, and inspiration to neighborhood children and families. Plus, Xcel co-founder Jonathan Del Rio's new role as dean of the local middle school, and Xcel alum Dorothy Rivera's math teaching in the same school, now give Xcel a presence directly within the school that feeds most of the youth into Xcel's after-school programs. Pray for continued effectiveness and finacial stability. Chain Reaction. Matt and crew are gearing up for another full summer of missions. Visit www.ChainReaction.be for all the latest. Pray for wisdom and favor in every city we serve. Personal. My niece Mia Bella was born healthy and hungry last Friday, with another nephew Simon due in the next three weeks. Judah is a healthy and huge six year old who's loving first grade, and Diana just launched a redesigned website for her hair extension business. Pray for God's protection and provision for my family. Thank you all for your love and ongoing prayer and financial support for the ministry of Community Solutions. Tax deductible donations can be made online here. In His Service, Jeremy
