Another Reason to see Rocky Balboa

    By Jeremy | December 31, 2006

Besides the fact that it's a great movie:
Because when you write from the heart, out comes the spiritual message. You just know that you're dealing with the human condition and quite often, even though you may not say the word Jesus in every line, you can feel it working through the characters, you can feel the Christian brotherhood, the humanity, the compassion, the God-fearing script is what, I'm serious a God-fearing script is what Hollywood needs. It had that a long time ago, but they've kind of abandoned it, and now it seems to be en vogue to be just cold-hearted and blunt and without compassion. We need the God-fearing script, the script that really deals with compassion and deals with the word of Jesus and God, and believe me, people will rally behind it because we need it.
    - Sylvestor Stallone, talking about faith and its impact on his script. Full interview here.

I saw it! It was pretty good and the best part for me was when he was talking to his son about how life will give you the hardest hit but its how we get back up and keep going that counts. Ain’t that the truth!

We saw it the other night. I have to admit, I was not really looking forward to it because of the other sequals. After Mic and Mr T, Roc didn’t do it for me until the other night.
I was pleasantly surprised. I felt very comfortable through the whole movie sitting with my son and father-in-law next to me. The movie kept us and I was on the edge of my seat.
