One Punk Under God

A NYC bus ad turned me onto it this morning: One Punk Under God, an upcoming reality show on Sundance Film Channel featuring "The Prodigal Son of Jim and Tammy Faye." Jay Bakker was a keynote speaker (download audio) at Urban Youth Workers Institute the same year as me. Now he's got his own show on Sundance, and ... I have my own blog. Heh.
The show's promo reads:
"Jay Bakker, the only son of TV evangelists Jim Bakker and Tammy Faye Messner, is the subject of this six-part observational documentary series from filmmaker Jeremy Simmons (“TransGenerationâ€Â). Veteran of a troubled adolescence, tattooed and pierced Jay now preaches God's grace and unconditional love to an alternative non-denominational congregation in Atlanta, which meets in a working bar."Go Jay! Looking forward to the series premiere on December 13 at 9pm.
