    Bling Theology

    By Jeremy | July 27, 2006

    via Mary J. Blige:
"My God is a God who wants me to have things. He wants me to bling. He wants me to be the hottest thing on the block. I don't know what kind of God y'all are serving, but the God I serve says, 'Mary, you need to be the hottest thing this year, and I'm going to make sure you're doing that.'"

This from iVillage's take on the 5 Hottest Hollywood religions. Apparently Christianity, with adherents like the aforementioned Mary J., trails Kaballah, Scientology, Tibetan Buddhism, and Vedic at #5 on the list.
HT: Tony (who is in Cameroon for a 12-day mission's trip - pray for his team).

Too bad Mary J. won’t find her God revealed on the pages of Scripture. Oh wait, he is there, right in Matthew 6:24, you go Mary.
