Child poverty in perspective: An overview of child well-being in rich countries

UNICEF presents "A comprehensive assessment of the lives and well-being of children and adolescents in the economically advanced nations." The United States and the United Kingdom rank in the bottom third in five of the six dimensions reviewed, including material well-being, health and safety, relationships, and behaviors and risks. Not surprisingingly, the US is dead last in relative income poverty (which measures the gap between the extremely rich and poor.) Download PDF.
