    Good News/Bad News

    By Jeremy | March 25, 2007

After last year's abysmal set of March Madness predictions, I low-keyed safe pics for the tourney this year. The early results are in. First the good news: all four of my Final Four predictions made it to the dance. Next weekend, I'm picking Georgetown to defeat Florida in the final. Now the bad news: despite what I thought would be a stellar bracket, I'm tied with four other players for 15 out of the 19 (that's second to last!) who entered Curt Gibson's challenge. Bracket Oddity: Some guy named Chris Adams successfully predicted the first 16 games, 30 of the first 32, and was on a ridiculous role until this weekend when his Cinderella pick to win the entire tournament -- Vanderbilt -- lost in the Sweet Sixteen. And yes, Mr. Adams got the Final Four only half right.

      Jeremy:
I went to Hobart College with Jeremy Foley, the athletic director of the University of Florida. We are good friends and E-mail one another periodically. I think I’ll stick with the Gators.
