Better than the movies and even Chuck-E-Cheese

That was the consensus of three children after ferrying from Newbury Port, Massachusetts, to Shoal Islands, off the coast of Maine and New Hampshire, last Monday night. Sandwiched between two, one-hour boat trips (the second one at sunset), Judah and his cousins Willie and Amber spent two hours climbing the rocky shores of Star Island. They especially enjoyed rummaging through tidepools, bones, and seashells looking for Viking artifacts and pirate booty. Diana and I took the kids on this nature adventure to celebrate Lil Wil’s 10th birthday. Photo Set.

OK – Now I’m jealous. The firetower… could live without, but Newburyport?? That’s only 1/2 an hour from my Alma Matter – I LOVE the north shore, whale watching and now I’m jealous!! Hope you all are enjoying the last days of summer!
